Hello, beloved friend! I am so excited to be with you today! I don’t know if it’s the budding trees and the sunshine peaking through my window that is making my bones feel so grateful for the Spring weather ahead! I’m going to be really honest with you and share that I have felt a little depressed in the past few months. I think it’s been tough having a lot of dark - gloomy - rainy days. I wasn’t running because my ankle hurt from me spraining it last year, and to boot, it was my dad’s birthday a couple of weeks ago and he died of brain cancer in May of 2020. So my heart has been a little shredded lately and I haven’t felt my best. Here’s what I’ve learned. Jesus is the sufficient love I need when my heart hurts or my flesh is weak. He alone is the goodness that carries my broken heart and mind. And he is willing to see me exactly where I am AND SIT WITH ME IN MY PAIN. There’s no pretending with him to be okay and no need to try to feel different. The surrender of pain and the holding space for my grief has really helped me overcome staying in the blues. I’ve learned that these emotions are an IMPORTANT part of the human journey. I’m almost at a place where I can actually embrace the sadness. Reading God’s word over myself and declaring the truth of the gospel has also been super helpful! I’ve been reading 2 Corinthians right now and enjoying the message of faithful endurance through it all.

Another way I’ve been encouraged is through my style! I really do feel like it makes a difference in my day if I actually get dressed and put a little makeup on. It sends my soul a message of love and respect and in this Sping 2023 season; my vibes are comfy chic! I love wearing cute comfy shoes like converse to dress down wide-leg trousers! I’ve been enjoying adding lighter colors and bright pink colors to my rotation this season to feel that Spring Vibe! Also, can we talk about how I’ve worn converse since high school?! I can’t believe that at (almost) 40 they are trending harder than ever! Are you into them or not? I am a HUGE converse fan and I just found an amazing pair of platform ones that I’m LOVING right now!

I want to leave you with a scripture that is really helping me right now. “ So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. For this light momentary affliction is PREPARING us for ETERNAL WEIGHT OF GLORY beyond all comparison, as we look to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient but the things that are unseen are ETERNAL.” 2 Corinthians 4: 16-18

Thank you so much for visiting us today. I pray and hope you have a BEAUTIFUL day and that you know how much God loves you. No matter how you look, feel, or behave HE will always love you and has given Jesus for you to enter into his eternal glory!
