Hello, my loves!! Happy Monday to you! Here's an idea for what to wear for your casual summer night out! I love how comfy we felt and I think these couples outfits are super appropriate for a game night, a casual dinner, going out for miniature golf or the movies! I felt super cute but ready for anything!

I hope you had a great 4th of July and that your heart is full of joy! My heart is exploding with gratitude and joy right now!  You know when your cup is full? Yep, I need to remind myself every day my heart IS full!  When I go into a complaint or a self-sabotage mentality, I count all the ways that life is going amazing. It's so easy to focus on the negative right? It's so easy for our brain to just go to all the things we are not, all the things we don't have, all the ways we aren't where we want to be, all the ways we would want our partner to be... If they could just do x, y, z..... then we would.... dot ..... dot ...... dot. If our kids could just behave like perfect adults than we could feel like a good enough parent.  If we could just live in a world where nothing bad happened, then we would experience peace. If we could just be a size 0 whilest treating our bodies poorly, then we would finally love ourselves.

If we could just.

Our minds are great at thinking negatively. But here's the revelation I'm on at the moment: We live what we focus on! Our minds for some reason go easiest to negativity. However, we can, little by little, train them to go the other direction, and we will see lasting change in our lives, by merely changing the thoughts we focus on! And the thoughts we focus on lead to the words we speak out. And with every word we are creating our reality. So be careful what you speak over yourself. God wants you to "take every thought captive and bring it into obedience to Christ. (2 Corinthians 10:5)" If your words don't' match what God says about you: YOU ARE BELOVED. YOU ARE ACCEPTED. YOU ARE ENOUGH (IN HIM) , YOU ARE WORTHY OF LOVE AND CONNECTION (BECAUSE OF HIM). YOU ARE WANTED. YOU ARE SEEN. YOU ARE SIGNIFICANT, AND YOU ARE SECURE (IN HIM). Then you are cutting yourself short from the joy that Jesus died to give you. Focus your mind on the good and you'll see miracles in your lives!

My husband and I are a testament to this. I can only speak for myself, but before I started to rehearse what I spoke to you above, I would always have a complaining attitude toward my husband. Nothing was ever good enough for me. I would only focus on the things Doug didn't do and I was left with a pretty sour attitude and heart toward him. I thought if he would just change I would feel better. Then God showed me how much I was in a state of complaint and scarcity and if I changed the way I thought, then everything would change around me. I now see my husband and thank God for all of him all of the time. Don't get me wrong here, we still have conflict to work through! I still allow myself to have sadness and difficult emotions when I need to feel them (because there is a place for all of our emotions!)  But my mindset is much more a positive and abundant one toward myself, life and him, so what I experience is all the love and gratitude for myself and that is a good feeling!

It's amazing! Do you dare try it?! Are you a positive person or negative? Don't beat yourself up for it if you just know if I can change, you can too! With so much respect and honor toward you, I offer this post knowing we are all a work in progress, right?!  I'd love your comments below!
