Winter is well underway and if you’re anything like me, you love to really care for your skin and well-being by keeping your beauty routine right for the season. I know my skin needs a lot more moisture, my senses want richer fragrances, my lips need extra hydration, and my makeup lasts longer with a matte finish and other products for longevity.
Here are some items that are new or new to me and also amazing for the cold, harsh winter months: rich body lotion, great moisturizers for your face, exfoliants both for your face and body, winter-appropriate fragrances, and the newest most beloved makeup I have found to share with you!

WINTER FACE MAKEUP | MY FAVORITES
The above beauty products are a meticulously, cold-edited, round-up of some new products and some new to me goodies I am super excited about and will be playing with in upcoming YouTube Videos. Some are already in my favorites stash!!
This Mbeauty Mblender is one of the best beauty blenders on the market right now. She’s new, she’s under $7.00 and she comes from a gorgeous Latina woman, Mariela Bagnato who is a celebrity makeup artist and entrepreneur! And a beloved friend of a beloved friend. The blender can be used for up to 3 months and you can wash it every 3 uses with warm water and mild soap. Friend, I love this sponge so much. It’s quickly becoming my favorite. It has a spongy soft feel and applies my foundation like a dream. To use the sponge, I rinse it under running water and then squeeze it until most of the water is out. I then use a little face towel to dry up any remaining moisture and use it to apply my foundation, concealer, and sometimes even my loose powder! I love the gorgeous finish it gives the skin! What I love about this sponge is that all sides are useful. The bottom is flat for powder application. The pointed tip helps concealer application. It’s amazing! I love it!
These AMAZING false lashes come from MBeauty as well! Mlashes are 3D cruelty-free silk lashes with an ingenious cotton band for soft and easy application. And they are the most comfortable lashes I’ve ever worn. They come in a great little case and you better keep it because you can re-use the lashes up to 20 times. These lash bundles come with the most sophisticated and useful tool to put your lashes on. Gone are the days of using tweezers and risking poking our eyeballs out for the sake of a false lash, ladies! I’m a fan. A HUGE fan!
WINTER APPROPRIATE WOMEN’S PERFUME + LIMITED EDITION
I want to eat my arm when I spray this Atelier des Fleurs Vanilla Planifolia Eau de Parfum from Chloe . It is such a gorgeous scent! It is vanilla with sophistication and just lovely. It’s great for warm cuddles under the blankets or for wearing with a gorgeous winter outfit because it works for both vibes!
These other scents are really going to warm you up especially the Idôle L'Intense Eau de Parfum. It is a magnificent floral scent with warm musk and sweet Madagascar vanilla that really gives it body and warmth. My husband loves it so much. I love it so much!
And I rounded up some of my other favorites that are new in the market like the Gucci Flora, which comes in a beautiful purple, limited edition bottle. Maison Margiela’s REPLICA, Lazy Sunday morning scent, which also comes in a red for Valentine’s day limited edition bottle. I already had this and loved it in the other traditional bottle, but I had never smelled the bubble bath scent. It is unisex, it is fresh and the bottle is GORG!
WINTER SKIN MOISTURIZERS, EXFOLIANTS, RETINOL + SUNSCREEN
If I ever change professions I’ll probably go to school to be a skin-genius doctor. That is a profession right?. I LOVE skincare. I adore learning about skin, it is faaaaacinating to me. The way it responds to caring for it, the way it responds to a consistent routine and to active ingredients makes the nerdy side of me so happy! It amazes me how God made our bodies and in a big way it amazes me how the skin functions. One of my favorite things to do when I’m feeling cold and dreary is my bougie routine at the end of the night. Just sloughing off all those dead skin cells with amazing chemical exfoliants ( I use this only once a week) and adding a bunch of moisture and good things to my skin at night has become one of my favorite things to do. So here are some of my ALL TIME FAVORITE products to use for moisturizing and exfoliating the skin.
If you want to find a great exfoliating pad for your husband, look no further. This one is from OARS + ALPS and it’s in a round blue canister, and the pads are a one-time use thing he will just swipe all over the face (avoiding the orbital area ) and wazam! Fresh skin for your hubby! Exfoliation and moisture in winter are uber important and so is wearing your sunscreen! Even if you haven’t seen the sun much or don’t plan to be outside too much, sunscreen has to be your #1-morning routine hero. I’m a HUGE sunscreen all-day-every-day advocate. Just do it. It really prevents all the things: skin cancer, sun damage, wrinkles… did you hear? Wrinkles…. I promise you sunscreen will be the best defense in your skincare especially if you’re still young. I never skip a day.
Also on the chemical exfoliants and retinol, start slow- maybe once a week, and see how your skin feels. I am not a professhi so don’t just take the advice from me. However, personally, I would never exfoliate the skin on a daily basis. It’s too harsh on my skin. Alas, skincare is so personal, so always make sure you check with you doctor or dermatologist. I know that perhaps what has worked for me will not work for everyone. I just do my best at sharing with you all I’m learning in hopes that we will learn together.
BODY CARE PRODUCTS
If a product has made it on this page that means it has been a cold edit. I placed only my very favorite things that I would recommend to my mother, my sister, my nieces, my best friends, my daughters. These are the items that I rave about when people ask me what I use to care for my body. The Necessaire products have a no-fragrance option that I love, their body care is fantastic to start off with the exfoliant in the shower and then go in with a serum for the delicate area around your neck and chest. Then they have the most nourishing and quickly absorbing body lotion and now a NEW hand cream. I’ve also been a HUGE Philosophy fan forever! And their lotions are some of my favorite! The Mario Badescu is a must if you love practicality. The bottle is a fast draw on the nights when you’re just too tired for body lotion.
RICH HAND CREAMS
Why in the heckanbob there is such a thing as hand cream and foot cream and not just body cream eludes me really, but I super buy into it and my husband says if I could, I would have a separate lotion for all my body parts. Well, he’s right. I love giving my body love. It does so much for me, so at the end of the night it is a beautiful thing to bust out my handy-dandy, rich, moisturizing and juicy hand lotions. See what I did there? You thought you were just here for beauty. These have been a must in my home all over the house as we have definitely increased our hand washing because of you know that one thing going around, what is it called? What is it called? USEFUL TOOLS FOR YOUR BEATY ROUTINE
There’s nothing better than having the right tools for the job. You want silk pillowcases and sleeping masks to help your face keep its youth and your hair keep its style?
