My baby turned NINE last week! We celebrated her with an ice cream + pop party.
Thank you Chloe’s for sending us amazing Avengers Pops to share with my family! I loved them so much as they had a refreshing and delicious taste! It was so nice to see all the kids enjoying them as we celebrated my little girl!
We had a blast and such a chilled time enjoying the sunshine. It was one of the least stressful parties I’ve ever hosted! I want to share all my secrets with you because you need to experience this new sense of chill during a kid’s party! Hahaha, I’ve always been a little stressed out about the games and this and that. But, because this year I was dealing with grief from losing my dad two years ago on that same day of my daughter’s birthday, I wanted to take it easy. I told her we could have our church family over and serve pizza and ice cream, but we won’t worry about planning a game or activity. Oh, my word did that relieve so much of my stress! The kids just played. Go figure!

I did so much of the prep work weeks in advance for this party, like filling the party favors into the favorite ice cream trucks!
I made a detailed list of all I needed after pinning a few ideas on my Pinterest Party Board about the vibe I wanted for the party! I made a HUGE Amazon order, weeks in advance so I could see if there was anything else that I might need! I felt so proactive! I had zero things piled on me the day of, I just had room to host and delight in the party! I actually enjoyed this party! Wahoooooo!
I styled this adorable cart the night before. Thus my stress levels were almost ZERO.

This little retro ice cooler right here was the IT FACTOR for this party. it did more for the cool vibes than I expected! This just made it so sweet for our guests to help themselves to their own cool drinks and pops!

Toppings To Buy For An Ice Cream Themed Party?
We set out all the toppings on the metal utility cart and made it look adorable and appetizing by placing all the toppings that came in a bag inside a gold-rimmed clear cup and set a color-changing spoon in each cup for quick-serve action for our guests!
We served: Nerds, Maraschino Cherries, cotton candy sprinkles, nuts, and jet-puffed mallow bits (which happened to be my favorite! ) This was such a hit with all the children ages 4 -40!

Creating A “Moment” For Your Birthday Party
Now for me, a good host moment leaves an experience to be had. And setting out a bunch of ready-to-serve toppings, cones, and Ghirardelli Chocolate Drizzles was such a fun way to invite our guests into an experience. All the kids stood in line as we served them one scoop at a time. It was so cute seeing them so excited to be able to round the ice-cream corner and head to the toppings cart! One little girl even asked, “Can I have TWEEEE toppings?” to which I of course responded a loud and resounding, “YES! BABY GIRL. You can have 1,000 if your mommy lets you!”

I love variety and having a good selection of ice cream cones and ways to serve the ice cream was a big part of why this felt like a success. People like options! We gave them that! We had waffle bowls (my favorite), Traditional Ice-cream cones, chocolate rimmed cones, and we even got gluten-free ice cream cones!

I also really loved just having all the paper plates, ice cream birthday napkins, gold rimmed plastic cups and color changing spoons ready and available to our guests! It was fun to shop for these because I kept it in our color mood of white, black, gold, and pops of vibrant colors!

My #1 Tip For An Aesthetic Kids Birthday Party!
My number one tip for any party is that you find yourself a 4-5 color mood and actually save it on Pinterest or your phone so that when you go shopping for the party, you have a guide to your shopping as it can become overwhelming once you hit the store. If you have your set colors you are able to freely choose as you’re shopping! I have done this for two of our parties and it’s been a game-changer!

At the bottom we set out these adorable Rae Dun, EAT, paper plates in a clear organizing bin from the Home Edit. The Ghirardelli Chocolate Drizzles came as a 4 pack with Sea Salt Caramel, Caramel, White Chocolate, and Dark Chocolate. My favorite was the sea salt caramel!! Ohhhhh so good! And last but not least the most adorable, umbrella bendy straws!!!
This adorable LED Ice Cream Light is excellent for your Ice Cream Birthday party decorations!! It is little but makes a BIG IMPACT! I am even using it now inside my house as my Summer Decor! It does take 2 AA batteries.
Adorable Ice Cream + Faith Birthday Party Favors
Party favors that the kiddos REALLY enjoyed!! These were a HIT. I didn’t want to send the kids and parents home with more sugar since we kind of indulged with the Ice Cream party.
We packed these adorable ice cream favor trucks with, Jesus’ Love stampers, bookmarks that double as a ruler with various Bible verses!
Along with these amazing little mochi squishes (MY FAV), AND last but not least, light-up rings!!
These were a huge success! I will say that the little ice cream trucks do take some time and effort to assemble. So give yourself some time to make!
Ice Cream + Jesus Birthday Party Favors
This Retro Ice Cooler is soooooo adorable and practical!! We loved it for storing our waters on one side and the pop on the other! It also has a bottle opener and catch caddy for the bottle caps! It is amazing! I love that we’ll be able to use this for all our outdoor gatherings! It also comes in a plethora of colors!
