  • Do a random act of kindness every week.

  • Look and delight at Christmas lights with child-like WONDER!

  • Take a family photo.

  • Have a special slumber party (Make it an only Christmas Pajamas Theme!)

  • Hang stockings and sit by the fire to read a book.

  • Sing Christmas carols (you can always do a youtube karaoke) or sing on your own if you know how to play an instrument. Or even better, learn a new skill of playing something you wanted to learn!

You can have an intentional season of love and joy even IF or even WHEN you are going through a super hard time. You can decide how this month goes for you based on what you allow to happen in your time. Life is all about our attitude and trust me; if anyone understands wanting to be Bah humbug, it’s ME! I know my life has been super painful at times and it seems like, “what’s the point of celebrating?” The point is that our joy isn’t contingent on things that are outside of us. Our hope and joy are celebrating what Jesus did on the cross for you and me. And that is the ultimate gift we can all receive!

By accepting Jesus as our Lord and savior we can have the freedom of salvation and love of self because the price was paid on the cross for us at Jesus’s death and resurrection for all the mistakes we’ve done, and have been done to us. And that we will do in the future. Jesus is the bridge to our WHOLENESS and it’s by faith that we can experience the fullness of what Christ died to give us.

Access to an almighty and all-powerful God who is holy and has no darkness within himself. That is worth celebrating! Merry December to you and may you choose to fill your home and your mind with thoughts of cheer and hope and joy! The best is yet to come.
