3 Simple Ways To Start The New Year With Vision + Harmony + Peace | 2021

Haaaaaapppy New Year, beloved friend! How in the heckanbob are you?!? I pray that you’ve had a beautiful Holiday season in spite of all the chaos in this world. I pray today you know that you are here this very second because God has a plan for your life. I am so stinkin’ excited to be back. Thank you for visiting me, I am honored by your presence! I pray this post gives value to your days ahead. I know it’s a little past the new year, however, these ways to start the New Year in harmony and peace this 2021 have really helped me and I hope they help you.

I don’t believe 2020 was a waste of time, I believe it was preparation for you and me. I believe that even in the middle of difficulty and challenge we have the ability to choose our response so we don’t need a year to end to feel energized. However, I am excited about the fresh start a New Year provides because it made me really dig deep and ask myself some pretty honest questions.

Here are 3 simple ways I’ve started my 2021 with harmony and peace! I hope they bless you. At the end of the post, I’ll leave some questions for you to ponder or better yet, journal, to deepen your insight into what will truly be important for you this year. I’m here to serve and encourage you and if I’m the only one telling you this, be fruitful!

The time is NOW!

3 Simple Ways To Start The New Year With Vision + Harmony + Peace | 2021

  1. - Make a vision board for the year. What do you want to see in your life? We serve a God who is fat in abundance. Dear one, let HIM edit your prayers and dreams. He loves you so much, he gave his son for your ransom. Do you know that was the ultimate sacrifice? I know that life has a way of squandering our hopes and dreams and after many “unanswered” prayers we become discouraged. Let me tell you something; God will answer every one of your prayers, in his time and in his mighty way. Don’t get discouraged. God can never be taken from you. Not by your behavior, good or bad, and he’s not mad at you, invite him into your heart ask for forgiveness and then with gratitude ask for what you want and need. Ask him in faith to give you VISION for your 2021. I always ask God for a word I can focus on as well. It’s miraculous how many things from my previous vision boards have come to pass. Glory to God for He delights in giving good gifts to his children. “If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!” Mathew 7:11 Don’t be afraid of looking foolish. Give God your dreams and vision and see what he does with it!

  2. Let go of toxic relationships and behaviors. Oh thanks Libier, I didn’t know this already. This is one thing that has always eluded my intellect. Let go, they say. Just let go. How??!!! How do I “let go”!?? Ha, if you’re feeling mad I just said that, I’m okay with it. I know it’s an easy thing to say, not such an easy thing to put into practice. Here’s how I’ve let go of many things that weren’t good for me;

    Letting go is a process. It doesn’t just “happen” and you aren’t the one who has to take all the action. Letting go is a courageous pursuit into the heart and will of Jesus. You know that the way you’ve been living is no longer serving you but there’s something holding you back and you can’t get freed on your own. You’ve tried and tried in your own strength and now you’ve given up because you think you just can’t do it. Well, you can’t. Not on your own. Satan will always be lying to you about what you will feel when you let go, but he is a liar and think about it. You are afraid of a feeling. Letting go will come with a little pain but you can handle hard things with God!

    Here’s how I’ve personally let go of an abusive past, pain of betrayal, resentment, toxic behaviors, relationships, and unforgiveness in a practical way so you can hopefully find a blueprint to your “letting go”

    1.- I ask God to help me let go of anything in my life that isn’t serving his kingdom or my life.

    2.- He then highlights something in my heart. Puts a sort of heaviness upon my spirit about “certain” things. They might be relationships or idols or things I’ve used to cope with all the pain of my past OR present. God really puts a burden in my heart about them and when he does, I ask in prayer that he’d do everything in HIS power to have that thing or person or desire out of my mind and heart. And he does. It’s like witnessing a miracle.

    Letting go is more of submission to God’s will for our lives and he does most of the leg work. He knows what is best for our lives and if we feel loved by HIM we are able to move forward in obedience to releasing those things that hinder us and our families. Letting go is a process we do daily and it is dependent on God. Much like having faith. Much like forgiveness. Those are like 98% up to him and 2% us. Our God is relentlessly pursuing us so he can love us and heal us. He can help us but letting go is an everyday action we must take. I’ve noticed as a recovering alcoholic and survivor of multiple traumas that I have three things I need reminders for every day. (ONE )The Gospel (the life, death, and resurrection of Christ; the good news that I’m shameless because of Christ and God delights in me because he is pleased with Jesus) (TWO) Forgiveness is a daily choice I make. (3) Grace & contentment; I have access to all I need right here right now and nothing can take away Jesus from me by his grace I am free, so I can extend grace to myself and others.

  3. Go back to faith. Let God help you enter into the courageous state of seeing your life through the eyes of faith. Much is accomplished when we live our lives in the freedom of faith in a God who works all things together for our good. (Romans 8:28)

    You have everything it takes to take on 2021, beloved friend. I believe in you and the very best of yourself does too!

    Journaling questions to get you on your 2021 journey …

    1.- In the moments when no one had a title or job or anything to do in 2020 how did you handle just being you? 2.- Is there a chance you feel like your value lies in your production or a title? 3. What would God say to you about your worth?

    2.- What things and people zap your energy?

    3.- If you could ask for anything to happen in your life right this very second and there was no limit of money, time, needing to have the skills for, where in the world you are, what would you want to do and experience? *let this be a guide for you to make a vision board with images that inspire you for the answers to this question.

    That’s it!! I love you so much, I hope this blessed you if it did, share it with someone you love! Thank you!
