Staying At The Park Hyatt Aviara Golf Club & Spa
It has always been a dream of mine to travel with my family! As we began our journey to working with different hotels and properties in 2018-2019, I felt incredibly grateful to God.
And while COVID came and canceled our plans to travel for a year, I can say that both The Park Hyatt Aviara Golf Club & Spa and I got a complete renovation! And I give glory to God!
What a treat to stay a second time at one of our favorite properties we visited in 2019, The Park Hyatt Aviara Golf Club & Spa!
Located near San Diego in Carlsbad, California. Acres of restful, peaceful, and gorgeous estate that is close to all the fun things; San Diego, Leggo Land, even Disneyland is close enough to visit the park and come back to this blissful resort!

A new addition to the resort is this glorious staircase that allows you to come down from their lobby to the green areas outside! It made me feel like I was in a movie! I just needed a little music and I didn’t know what would have happened…..Possibly Dirty Dancing 2?

This property is a great fit for you if you are in desperate need of R&R! It is a gorgeous property that already was beautiful and now it’s SPECTACULAR because they fully renovated this past year. So if you are tired of being home, come and stay here! If you love staying at the resort where you are all day this is the place for you. It’s got so much to offer and all you have to do is sit and enjoy! AND REST.
If you love golf or running on trails, or playing tennis, or going to the beach, this is the place for you as well! You don’t even need to have your own equipment they help you out!
This was my manicure for Haylee’s birthday weekend at The Park Hyatt Aviara Golf Club & Spa ! 5/20/2021 the day we checked in, was my youngest daughter’s 8th birthday and also my dad’s first year of being in Heaven.
My heart hurt so bad and at the same time, it was also ready for so much joy, celebration and FUN! I can only attribute that to the power of Jesus and his love for me and our family.
They welcomed us with some amazing treats for Haylee and she was so grateful and happy! I will tell you, you will not find a more friendly and accommodating staff that at the The Park Hyatt Aviara Golf Club & Spa .
They go above and beyond to make you feel special and home away from home. A bouyee home that you don’t want to ever leave!
I mean can you even!? She endured my dad dying of cancer last year on her birthday. It was so sweet seeing her rejoice that my dad is in heaven, but we’ve also been in the throes of grief and understanding that sometimes we don’t understand God’s timing and plans. But we can trust that God is good and faithful.
I just know that this very painful season has been alleviated by God’s mercy and the fact that I got a day to mourn and celebrate all in one is a miracle in itself.
As you can see, we felt welcomed and ready to start our time at this beautiful property!
We loved traveling with our new CALPAK carry-on luggage! My littles both got their first “real” big kid pieces! Thank you CALPAK for the gift! We couldn’t be more in love. These are so cool because they have a zipper that expands them if you need more room, or makes them regular size if you’re not taking too much! Love the compartments inside that keep everything nice and tiddy!
And apparently, they make a great emergency-book-reading-nook! Madelyn, get off your new luggage! ! She is a reader let me tell you and I never thought that I would constantly be asking my daughter to put a book down so she can join the rest of us!

After we settled into the room we took our tooshies to dinner! It was marvelous! We enjoyed food at Pacific Point, a chic lobby bar, and terrace, that gives sights to some of the most glorious Carlsbad’s sunsets! Here’s one we got to witness last time! And it was crazy because the server that took our order remembers a double rainbow we all got to see last time we were there as well in 2019!

WHAT TO WEAR TO A SUMMER RESORT
I got myself a virgin-blueberry drink to enjoy while the girls played in the amazing green grass below the restaurant. My goodness did I enjoy the view! My children being children: carefree and happy to be doing cartwheels on the grass!
Doug and I shared their poke bowl with brown rice! It was truly delicious! I am a big fan of the chill and relaxed feeling of ordering food while my kids have a chance to just enjoy themselves outside playing and eating slowly whilest enjoying the beautiful views!
They also were super kind and brought Haylee a few more treats for her special day!
Our first morning there, I made a little cup of coffee in the room and just sat on the balcony and enjoyed the beach breeze to kiss my skin while I attended to the beauty in front of me. The sound of birds and the wrestling of the palm trees gave me a calm and peaceful start to the day!

Then we headed to the amazing and NEW poolside experience that is one of my favorites in all of California! It has a fantastic family-only pool that mimics the ocean and doesn’t get too deep. On one side is a water slide pool that is open for a short window through the day! It was magical! Don’t worry they also have an adults-only pool for those of you who love kids….from afar!
I even confronted my fear of going down the slide! What a blessing! This picture was staged. Just so you can have a nice view: my actual photo going down the slide would’ve hurt your eyeballs! And our whole team was going, time after time, so no one was able to capture us actually playing!
Sometimes you just gotta put the phone down and LIVE!

I was so impressed by my makeup as well since I did mostly cream products like this adorable BITEBeauty Cream blush and the CAUTION Hourglass mascara and it did not melt off my face even when I enjoyed the water slide!!!
And the few times that we did leave the property was to get gourmet doughnuts at The Goods!
BEST doughnuts of my life! I had also one of the best iced coffees of my life. Maple bacon was my absolute favorite!
I can’t even believe I forgot to take a picture of all the donuts and mine! I was intensely excited to eat mine, obviously!

POOL DAY #2 OUTFIT AND POOLSIDE MUST-HAVES
I always felt so comfy with the complimentary robe that was in our room! It was a nice treat to walk to the pool with it and then wrap around its coziness after the pool every day! It’s in the little details, I tell you!

Talk about a God hug! My husband is in love with Back To The Future and he is legit in pursuit of one day owning a DeLorean! Can you believe they had this beauty at the golf course because they had an 80’s themed golf event!
Well, we didn’t golf that day but we did break the rules without knowing it and sat in the car to take a photo! Ooooops!

The next morning we headed to Ponto Lago, the nicest breakfast restaurant, gettin gready to do a dinner menu in the near future!
Had a little bit of a wait but it was well worth it! It’s really cool the way they laid out the place. They made a kitchen to be an open concept so the dinning room of the restaurant feels like you’re at a big fancy home.
I had one of my favorite meal combos ever. Avocado toast and smoked salmon!! Que rico!! But this was the most beautiful one I’ve ever had!!! Ever! I loved E.V.E.R.Y. bite!
After our nice breakfast we headed down on the shuttle to the golf course. It has a traditional 18 holes but it also has a beautiful driving range! THAT’S our jam!
I hope one day if God give us life as older peeps that we’d be playing golf with each other. i really do like it. Well at least the driving range part! Doug has been playing since he was 2 he has memories of his very own plastic golf set! I’d be willing to have him teach me.
The girls really enjoyed it as well!

There was one thing I didn’t get to do, the Lagoon Trail walk. I guess it’s about a three-mile nature walk that starts right where you go to the golf course. It was one that will remain something we do the “next” time we visit The Park Hyatt Aviara Golf Club & Spa …..maybe next time it will be a women’s only trip with all my best gal pals… I think that would be an excellent way to round out three visits to this beautiful place! thank you again to The Park Hyatt Aviara Golf Club & Spa for our complimentary two-night stay! We are so grateful!
